Kain (character of book) - By Midnight Dire Wolf

Kain is deified... oops wrong thing^^ Kain in my story is one of the sadder characters. His element is air. My little quote in the lower right hand corner? All Kain ever wanted was a best friend, but the person that was adopted as his friend was a filthy, backstabbing creep. In which Kain literally ripped himself apart over this person. (Spoiler warning) Kain ends up dying on the main character's (Razlin's) sword. He then tells Razlin that a female earth dragon will help her uncover her destiny. I know that you all are curious so here's a preview.

Why? Why did Kain have to lunge himself at me? He could have attacked anyone else of my pack, but the outcome would have been the same. Maybe if you wouldn't advertise that you have highly developed fighting skills creatures wouldn't attack you? Shut up you two faced rat I snarled at Jazen. I was never too particularly fond of the fact that she had forced me into being her host. Promise me that you'll watch for anything suspicious and you might want to take a look around... Her voice faded. "Razlin?" It was Ameriq. What is wrong now? "Sully has a broken wrist and the rest of the pack is tired."I nodded, walked over to a nearby Weeping Willow, and sat on one of the roots that was sticking out of the water. We'll rest here for tonight, but we leave at sunrise. Ameriq nodde and smiled gratefully. As everyone was settling down I started to think. Why had Jazen told me to walk around and be alert? What did she know? What of Kain, why had he attacked me? Why couldn't he say the name of his best friend? More importantly, how could I be sure that this oracle dragon was still alive? She's alive and well... she's waiting for you too Razlin... she will show you the way to discover your destiny... Voodoo's voice dripped, she was the other demon that I was forced into hosting, What if I don't like my so called fate? You cannot escape this time Razlin... You will succumb to your destiny... you are doing the gods' will even when you go off on your own... but you know that don't you my little pet? That's exactly what you don't want. You don't want to operate under someone else's will. You tried that before and you loathed it. Is that why you took such a radical chance? Is that why you- I've heard enough out of you both... my reasons are my own for what I did and you have no rights to question what I do... but we do... we both have all the rights in the world to fiddle with your mind... but you'd best get going to meet Evolet... there voices together dripped with so much poison that they would cause the bravest dragon to freeze. I'm assuming that Evolet is the dragon oracle? I did not need them to answer for Sully answered me. "Yes... she is, but are we going to meet her?" Yes we are Sully and we;d better move now if we want to make it there before the rains come. I said as I went around waking up my pack. I would never guess what was lying in wait for me...

Jazen- 14 tailed wolf demon. She was once a wolf-kin, but she exceeded the five tail limit and became a demon.

Wolf-kin- they are the most honored of the wolf tribes. They are hybrids between wolves and vampires, but they do not drink blood. They instead eat the flesh of the aragots. Complete opposite of werewolves. They hate each other so yeah...

Aragots- deer/antelope/oxen mixture. Their flesh tastes like fruit and their blood is like cream(only its red and tastes different) The "flavor" so to speak, of these creatures vary. The taste depends on the personality of the creature.
