me can't wait for sunday.... for several reasons, though it is exiting it is in a way very sad well lets see 1) new deviations and 2) graduation.... yay deviations and graduation, yet me don't wanna have graduation happen... some many people that are going their own ways and some we may never see again then my best friend has like 20 some days until she moves away for college adn my ap class felt like a strange and rather large kind of family since there was only 8 people counting me in the class.... t'will be a sad day indeed and tears just may be shed.... i did get a lap top though with a printer!

ummm the new school thing the larger amounts of students is the biggest thing, not any of that stuff pepps always talk about like missing their parents and being too far from home.. I will only be like 30 minutes from home now when i go onto the university, it will be intimidating to me becasue non of my friends are going there and i will be living on my own in a city... quite the change

Bah, city life isn't so hard! You just need to not act like a complete country person, and eventually you'll learn your way around.

I'm excited for college, but I don't graduate for another year, which is okay becasue it gives me more time to work on getting one of my books published before I go to college. That way I'll have extra spending money.

Wow! Good luck with that, but remember, it takes a long time and a lot of editing before a book gets published, so be careful with how much you plan around that book. Btw: when it does get published, tell me so I can buy it, 'k?

Yes, indeed. I will certainly tell you when it's on the shelves. (But you all still have to call me Oreochema or Oreo.) And don't worry too much. I already have prepared myself for the struggles to come when I write my books and get them published. Both my parents and my teachers have warned me well, and I do plenty of research since I love it so much.

So...what is the title of this new book in progress, and will you write more after?

Its called: Night of a Thousand Moons. Which to me seems to be a rather silly title, but it relates directly to the story's plot, so if I change it, I'll be hard-pressed to find a proper title.

Well, the story is about half-dragon people known as Darkut. The first chapter elaborates on where they came from, which is based on the entirely fictional idea that fairy tales are altered versions of the truth. The story about the princess in the dragon-guarded astle is actually a cover-up for the fact that the princess and the dragon fell in love and eloped. After that, strange people started to show up. When the humans began to hunt them all down and kill them, they went into hiding almost until modern day stuff like the moonwalk and all that. But the title comes from the legend in my story: Dragons are most powerful on the night of a full moon, and legend has it that, including earth, there are one thousand planets like earth, each with its own moon. Every one of those planets experiences a full moon on exactly the same night, every time. This is the night on which a Darkut must take on his or her dragon form; if they don't, they will change automatically. Here's the catch: The main character, Karren Beckwit, is a Darkut. She is captured by a group of humans while she is in her dragon form, but later changes into a human and escapes without revealing that she can change. However, she is recaptured by the same people while she is in her human form. These guys now think that she freed their dragon and hold her against her will. Well it just so happens that the next night is the night of a full moon, so she has to escape before she transforms.

@Rana: This is the character who can breathe both fire and ice. For all intents and purposes, this doesn't serve as a weakness in the story, but a strength. She isn't weakened by the combination of elements like I am.

Hmmm...I like ferrets. They're fun! Mice are cute but...they're just too tiny! I'd be afraid to step on it or something if it got loose and hid in my shoe.

I typically start with the eye. I'm still working on a specific technique, so my eyes usually don't look the same. I change them a lot. But here recently I've drawn an anime character that I like a lot, and her eyes are perfect. I might tweak it just a bit more, but I really like them. But anywho, yeah. I generally start with the eye on any old thing. LOL Unless it doesn't have an eye. Then I'm in trouble.

Yeah...laptops are fun but there are a few downsides to owning them. You can't really update a laptop without spending enough money to buy a brand new one.

Exactly. Just like a desktop.

It's easier to repair and upgrade a desktop. On a laptop a lot of things are integrated directly on the motherboard (ex: the video "card" (in most of them anyway)) so if something break, you're most likely SOL (ex: someone in my class a few year ago had a broken backlight... the laptop became basically useless because you can't find a backlight replacement at your local Best Buy... even online that stuff is hard to find and you need a compatible model and so on). On a desktop, there are plenty of expansion slots and space available to really tinker around. And there is a greater variety of components in terms of price/quality/performance.

Yeah...what he said. But laptops are good for carrying to places a desktop wouldn't dare. So...both are cool in their own ways. If you're thinking long-term, take the desktop...short-term would be the laptop. Both aren't that bad in price, albeit you could buy an entire desktop set for less than 500 bucks and a skeleton laptop for about 600...

I think that some part of me is mean...like, really evil, but idk who to talk to about it, and I left a note for my mom last night but she didn't talk to me all day today, just kinda avoided me without making it look like she's avoiding me, and I don't want to talk to my friends about it cuz I'm not sure if they'd understand...idk what to do. It's been getting worse lately, like, my patience is nil, my usual happy demeanor tends to lean (rather precariously) toward the grumpy side, and I yell at people when they don't deserve it. No, not at all. I've had a perfectly boring summer. It's just that...idk...when I get mad, I'm afraid that I'm going to lash out at people, especially my little sister, so in order to not get mad I try to keep a "happy mask" on but then everyone notices and hates it, they say they want the "real me" but then my mom either gets mad or avoids me everytime I try to open up. Idk...it feels like somehow I'm dying inside and there's nothing I can do about it...

Ah. I've had some of that happen to me...granted I never told anyone about it. I just figured I was having anger issues. I still have anger issues, but I generally hold it in until I explode days or months later. (which isn't good either...LOL) I bet you've been feeling pretty frustrated about this, huh? I think the best thing you can do now is just to talk about it. It helps more than you know, and I'm here to listen.

Thanks...but what I did was pretty serious... *sucks in breath* Ok...I hurt my kitty...a lot. But I haven't done it for over 6 months now, and I love my kitty and she doesn't hate me, and we got another kitty and I've been very nice to him his whole life and I love him and he loves me (as much as a kitty can love anyone anyway). *sighs* There...I said it. And I regret it very very very very much and idk why I did it except that I was always so mad during that time and I didn't know how to get it out...but that's no excuse. No not at all. Anger makes people do stupid stuff. It's not your fault. I've done something like that, out of pure anger. All that matters right now is the fact that you're feeling shame and remorse for it, and that proves that you aren't a bad person. You're a good friend, and as long as you have friends around you that you can talk to, you can hopefully spill the beans before something else like that might happen.
