*chortles softly* I'd like to do one more thing for him. So far I have a card, I've written two pages worth of poetry, and I'm folding him bunches of colored paper hearts. lol

I was done with guys before I even met one. it's even more ridiculous for me, because everytime I try to befriend one...well...1) Completely hates my guts 2) Acts like he completely hates my guts 3) Forgot he ever wanted to be my friend 4) Ignored me entirely. It's hopeless really, but I guess that's what I get for being so ugly.

Sweetheart, just because you find someone that you love and want to settle down with doesn't mean you can't have all of those things. Relationships aren't meant to be shackles. And if there ever comes a time when they do become such, it's time to let go. You see it as all negativity. *strokes your hair gently* It's not always as bad as you think it is.

what guy would willingly agree to adopt and love a teenager as much as I want to, or more, without wanting to abuse her or neglect her in some way? He'd have no connection, no love, no nothing to keep him from hurting my daughter. I won't put her in danger.

Rana...*curls around you gently*...it's true that some people are like that, but not all are cruel. Give them a chance. You have to believe that not all guys are like that, because they really aren't. I know many who would willingly love an adopted teenage daughter. You just have to find them.

Now all that you need is to find that special person to help you walk forward on it! And don't argue, miss; it seems it'll never happen =now=, but it will. You'll see.

*Rana appears to climb out of the stream, and walk a few paces before she disappears among the trees* *the shadowy form might still be there, but it's impossible to tell under the waving stream darkened by the shadow of the trees*

*blinks and circles, uncertain* (I'll be back in a little while! )

*hovers momentarily, shrugs her scarlet shoulder, then dives into the water* BOMBS AWAY!!!!

*the mermaid looks back, and gasps, swimming away even faster*

*slices through the water, sending a huge wave crashing on the banks, and swims after Rana, her wings, legs and tail all working to propel her through the water*

OOC: You're not supposed to know that the mermaid is Rana! *pout!* IC: *as Raina draws closer, the mermaid does a terrific move, backflipping out of the water, corkscrewing in the air, and landing back in the stream behind raina, taking off upstream as fast as she was going downstream*

OOC: But...but..O.o Sorries.... IC: *flares her wings underwater and stops herself, unable to turn quickly enough. Her nails scrabble against the streambed as she turns and swims after the mermaid. Stops, realizing that there's no way she'll catch up this way. Snorts, jumps out of the water, and flies upstream*

*again, Rana seems to clamber out of the stream, but the tree's shadows shift and sway, confusing whether or not the mermaid is still underwater*

*blinks and lights down next to the trees, mumbling uncertainly and looking from the water to the shade of the trees. Treads along the very edge of the water and walks into the shadows*

*a loud crack of a twig snapping, followed by Rana's cursing, confirms where Rana is*

*turns and barrels through the trees, quickly coming upon Rana. Towers over the little half-elf, her teeth glistening in the few threads of emerald sunlight that manage to filter down through the trees*

*meep* ummm...*pokes nose, then dissappears instantly*

*shakes her head and cocks it back, looking to and fro for Rana. Raises one foot and looks under it comically, then back along her belly in a last resort. Snorts gently and stands with a hilarious look of confusion*

*to the west, Rana is heard taking off again, panting really hard like she's been running for ages*

*bounds after Rana, quickly catching up. Lunges and pins the half-elf between her front feet securely* I've got you now, Rana!!!! *takes the back of Rana's shirt in her mouth and carries the little half-elf off*

*wriggles and sqquirms* no no no! I didn't mean it! *struggling futilely*

*giggles around your shirt, making sure to swing you about a little bit more as she bounds up a hill and settles down on a humongo rock, setting you between her front claws* ^.=.^

...*meepage look* *then suddenly I shout* I REFUSE!!!! YOU CAN'T TORMENT ME LIKE THIS! *draws several tendrils of water from the ground, twirling them like whips*

Dare you hurt me? Did I do harm to you? *looks at earnestly*

OOC: no, you didn't. I just hate losing. lol. hmmm...how to continue rp w/o me turning evil...or....IC: *suddenly, my eyes flash red, and I strike out with a water whip, drawing blood from Raina's snout* OOC: I miss Jenu. Jenu could turn evil at will. With Rana, I have to introduce some new monster or demon or something to control her. perhaps I'll add an evil side later...it's no fun always being good.

OOC: Sorry...I'm crappin' out pretty quick. haha IC: *pins Rana under her front paws, baring her teeth and growling menacingly as water tendrils of her own twist around Rana's and occupy them*

OOC: Oh dear, perhaps I shouldn't have taught you all those water tricks! IC: *with a feral snarl and a wild leap, Rana is up on her feet, ten tendrils whipping around with amazing speed, each aimed at Raina* *Rana's eyes are pure red now*

OCC: *smiles at and giggles* IC: *roars and turns to the side, a wild wall of flame hitting the tendrils of water broadside and vaporizing them efficiently without harming the little half-elf. Glares at Rana*

*combining all her water tendrils into one, and spreading them out, Rana begins to spin to make a full water shield* *As Rana turns faster and faster, Raina can see a small black spot on her black cloak, interfering with two blue polkadots.* *Suddenly, Rana's shield is complete, and she draws Mizu, advancing upon Raina* *in a strange and demonic voice, Rana hisses: You're mine now!*

*shifts into a smaller, more agile shape, and sails over Rana's head, avoiding the tip of the blade. Raina rises into the air and circles above the demonic half-elf*

OOC: heeheehee... IC: *elongating one of th water tendrils, Rana pushes it into the surrounding air, leaps upon it, and dashes accross like a well-trained tight-ropist* *Rana chases after Raina, quickly gaining on her*

*hisses at Rana and dives below her and slashes the tendril of water with her talons, attempting to snap the bond. Raina cries out in frustration, flying toward the trees*

*Rana reforms the tendrils of water, leaping with a feral cry and dashing after Raina yet again, slshing poisoned water tendrils at her back, slicing through her scales and wings*

*Raina arcs her back and hisses in pain, her wings fluttering angrily as the poison sinks into her blood. Crashes to the ground and stands, trembling with pain and anger*

OOC: I finally decided what my evil side is going to be. Her name's Hadina, and she's a poison mage rather than a water-element Power, like Rana. However, right now, Rana's being controlled by a tiny bat-demon clinging to her back, which you need to kill before I can become normal again. IC: *rana falls after raina, Mizu held high over her head* *a thin, wicked, black-liquid whip trails out from behind the sword* *finally, raina crashes to the ground, and rana lands behind her, preparing to strike with the evil whip* *sudden, her face bursts in agony, and she crumples to her knees, unable to move*

OOC: Okay, thanks for letting me know. hehe. I like the evil side idea and her overall "layout", if you will. IC: *Raina raises her head in pain and anger, a furious roar ripping between her teeth and echoing off of the trees. She whispers something to herself, drawing strength from her depths, and stands momentarily. Raina glares at Rana then lunges, pinning the evil half-elf upon the ground carefully with the pads of two toes*

*for a moment, the pain and the evil seem to disappear* *rana looks at raina with horribly sad pleading eyes* I...I'm sorry. Please...spare...m-me...*suddenly, the pain grips her again, causing her to writhe upon the ground* *then, after a few minutes, it is over, Rana's eyes are pure red again, and she snarls at raina with a menacing fury* Get off me you worthless beast! Rrrr!

*presses Rana into the ground and roars fiercely, causing Rana pause just long enough for the dragon to hook her talon under the little half-elf. Raina carefully flips Rana over onto her belly and presses her into the ground, hissing as she notices a little black patch of fur on Rana's back. Raina impales the little demon with her claw, curling it into the little being so that it sticks to her talon. The dragon rips the demon from Rana's back and torches it. Squashes it repeatedly underfoot in a strangely comical manner, then turns to the little half-elf*

*rana is gasping, seeming to have gone through a powerful struggle* *finally, after a few minutes, she gets up again, her eyes perfectly blue* Wha...what just happened? *looks at raina* Are...are you mad at something?

*nuzzles Rana and lays down, wincing as the poison still courses through her veins. Lays Rana down between her front claws to rest and tells her of what happened, gesturing toward the squished bat demon driven into the dirt*

*rana nods, somewhat understanding what happened, but not quite sure where the little demon bat came from...* Besides that...*she says* You're poisoned, and in no condition to continue unless you're healed. *rana places a large water sphere over raina's chest, absorbing the poison into it* *when the posion is all in the sphere, rana places her forehead on the sphere, and a bright silver flash blinds raina for a second* *when raina can see again, the sphere is completely clear, all the poison is gone* Rana: ok, now that that's done, me thinks we should get out of here. *no sooner does she say that when suddenly, all around them the ground is bubbling up with little demon bats* Rana: oh crap.

*looks around* Err...I second that... *plucks Rana up in her teeth and gently places the half-elf upon her back in front of her wings* Hold on! *Raina rears up and takes wing, the strength finally returning to her limbs. Makes great sweeps back and forth across the land, scorching as many bat demons as she possibly can, making sure that none even get close to Rana*

OOC: *teehee...I ish are riding a dragon! *feels special* IC: *rana also helps by swiping whatever demon bats there may be with Mizu before they even come close to Raina.* *however, unbeknownst to the both of the, a demon-bat makes a giant leap, and pounces onto the bottom of Raina's tail, latching on and refusing to let go* *it's poison immediately takes it's effects on Raina, causing her to lose her mind to unreasonable anger and fury*

*Raina blinks, feeling herself slipping away and suddenly loses herself to the demonic poison. The dragon roars out in great fury, her eyes widening as she catches the scent of the little half-elf upon her back. Raina swings her head to the side and snarls at Rana viciously, twisting and turning wildly in midair in an attempt to dislodge the unwanted passenger*

Rana: O.O Crap, one of them must have gotten you! *jumping off of Raina's back, she sends below her a huge water disc, upon which she stands to slow her fall to the ground* *during her descent, she notices a small black blotch at the end of Raina's tail, which is thrashing wildly* *looking down, she notices all the demon-bats now intent on jumping through her water disc to reach her* *all their attempts are unscuccessful, but Rana lifts the disc up anyway* *above her, an enraged Raina is diving towards her, fire spilling out of her mouth*

*cries out in rage and turns to watch you jump from her back, instantly wheeling about and diving after Rana. Raina pins her wings to her back and releases a great wave of flame upon the half-elf, diving toward her long after the flames die*

OOC: you just completely repeated what I already said...lol. IC: *having nowhere to go up or down, Rana dashes forward, underneath Raian and zooming above the treetops, above the reach of the demon bats* *every once in a while, a demon bat will climb up a tree and leap towards Rana's flying disc, but each time she smites them with a water whip trailing from Mizu*

OOC: I know that, but I didn't like the big gap from my point of view. The demon's pov is important, too! *whimpers, then snorts playfully* IC: *her judgment off, Raina slams into the ground, squishing demon bats under her body. Even in her demonic state, this makes her cringe, but the smell of blood makes her eyes narrow and the dragon leaps back into the air. She flies swiftly after the half-elf, screaming her anger. Raina hisses and unleashes the fury of her flame upon Rana*

*rana turns backwards on her flying disc, facing Raina* *after first holding a sphere in front of her to quench Raina's fire, Rana sends two small tendrils into Raina's nostrils* *they go down her nostrils, past her throat, and all the way into her lungs, basically drowning her in mid-air* Rana: I don't want to do this, but stop trying to kill me!

*chokes and sputters as water fills her lungs. Raina shakes her head and gurgles, trying to cough up the foreign material within her body. Her eyes shine and she summons the water to become part of her, and it obeys for once, leaving her lungs and simply melding with the dragoness. Raina roars in triumph and continues toward Rana*

OOC: ...now I'm really mad that I'm teaching you all these tricks. *note to self: stop the other rp before she kills you with your own element!* IC: *fashioning two small discs into darts, rana shoots them at raina, peircing her eyes and causing her to go nearly blind instantly*

OOC: *giggles, smiling like an idiot* IC: *Raina shrieks in pain and fury, shaking her head violently and trying to restore her vision. Realizes that she can't see to fly and heads toward the earth, misjudging the distance and slamming into the ground with bone-jarring force. The dragon roars and stands still, trying to work out her surroundings. She can't find Rana, and in her fury she summons each of the little bat demons and destroys them as they approach. When the last one is shredded as easily as paper, the dragon shrieks in anger and spews forth a great wave of flame*
