I've been thinking about this for a while, and I think it would be a cool discussion. Assuming dragons existed (big assumption, but just for the sake of argument), around which time period do you think they left/went extinct/disappeared? This came to mind because there are the dragon-like creatures in ancient mythologies around the world, but also there are the medieval stories. Could the dragons have survived until medieval times? Or even until today? (that bird-thing someone spotted in alaska with apparently a 15-ft wingspan. I'll see if I can find an article about it). EDIT: okay I couldn't find a story about that particular sighting, but something similar in Pennsylvania - with what the people called birds. I would place their general disappearance circa 1300 AD, with some persistant sightings until today. |

I would agree with that date, but no later than that and possibly earlier. Sometime after Arthurs suggested lifetime. |
